FINISH IT—

Every man’s life is a journey. Some easier than others but nonetheless rest assured there will be adversity at some point.

Addiction is ugly. Addiction cripples a man’s belief in himself and sense of self worth.

Watching 8 men today from @nolongerbound1 in Atlanta complete a 5K/10K that they have trained for was powerful to witness.

These men are fighting and we believe that an amazing future is ahead of them. One that is hard to see and believe in when you are deep into addiction.

Thank you to all of the volunteers that have shown up to train and encourage these guys for something more. The work that @nolongerbound1 does to rescue, regenerate, and reconcile these men is absolutely a blessing.

Finish Strong.

9 Men from No Longer Bound took on a challenging half marathon trail race called Helenback. Starting in Helen, GA, the course immediately climbs out of the valley into an amazing trail system that is at all times going up or down covering 2300 feet of elevation. This crew has been training hard and was motivated to accomplish something hard at a distance they had never gone. All 9 had a great adventure and crossed the finish line with a great sense of pride and confidence. This new understanding of what is possible in their lives is exactly the purpose of What Limits Project. None of this is possible without our partners and volunteer support. Thank you @thepmanfoundation @bigpeachrunningco @f3alpha ...

Express to someone that you Believe in them and watch their eyes light up. Watch as they start to Believe in themselves maybe a little more.

This simple expression has to power to complete change the trajectory of a person’s life.

Gulf Coast Half Marathon—

This past Sunday 6 men from @teenchallengeusa hammered out a 5K along with another 3 that completed the Half Marathon distance.

So proud and excited for these guys as they put the work into training and are now hungry for more miles.

Grateful for our friends @werunwild1 and @thepmanfoundation for sponsoring the guys to compete in this event and equipping them with shoes and apparel that provided an opportunity for the men to get a Win.

Awesome moment from yesterday’s training run @waterfrontmission.

At the end of the run I told one of the guys “you’re doing great for 4 weeks in”…he stopped me and said “no sir, I’m 5 weeks in don’t sell me short.”

Watching this man take pride in himself and excited about training for something more was a great moment.

Easy for me to take something simple like this for granted but for a man working hard to put his life back together it’s a BIG step.

How to create positive momentum.

Wake up.
Show up.
Say yes to doing difficult things regularly.
Believe you are capable of more.

Change is possible.

Gratitude—

Overwhelmed with gratitude for the people around me that I get to share life with. People that push and challenge to be a little better today than yesterday.

Friends that show up and support your interest because they know what it means to you.

Easy to get wrapped up in the speed of life and not take inventory of who and what’s around you.

Support and Serve as many reps as possible.

Thankful—

Beautiful start to Thanksgiving getting out with 7 of the men from @waterfrontmission that have been training to run a 5K with us over the past few months.

Training runs starting at 5:23 am on the dot. The first weeks were slow as we built up to 1..2..and then 3 miles. The importance of showing up is a concept we focus on. Daily forward momentum is what we are seeking.

Blessed to have the opportunity to call these men friends and the courage they show to stand up and work towards recovery and moving towards positive growth in their lives.

Special thank you to our friends @werunwild1 and @runpensacola for helping out by providing running shoes for our guys in training and inviting us to participate in the Turkey Trot.

What Limits—

Race day smiles from recent men in training. My buddy Craig came in with a goal of completing his first 5K in under 35 minutes and with the help of @razorblaydesjr encouraging him to finish strong he crushed his goal in just under 30 minutes.

Right at the finish we caught up with Chris who may have set a Guinness World Record for knocking out a sub 30 in skinny jeans and skate shoes.

Building belief one day at a time.
